A handful of new photos. Three days ago, on 27 August 2023, I finally got out for a walk with a few friends. First time since early last September 2022 - a year ago! We walked down at Carburn Park and it was a great morning. Felt just like old times, which was so good. The highlight, for me, was seeing a Merlin that had caught a Cedar Waxwing.

I only took a few photos, partly because many of the birds were perched on very high branches and I can't lift my camera high enough, thanks to my messed-up right shoulder. The weather was beautiful, the walk was nice and slow with lots of stops to look for birds, and the company was best of all. After the walk, some of us went for coffee, which always makes a lovely end to a birding walk.
