I decided to go a bit more artsy with this one, as this was the most detail I could get. The sky is from a 12s stack, and the trees are from one 1.6s shot in that stack. There is a bit of zodiacal light visible below Mercury and the Beehive Cluster. Also, some of the best shots in the stack had a plane go through. Shot from Maun, Botswana on 2011 Jul 6 0515 UT with a Canon EOS Rebel T1i. Processed in Deep Sky Stacker and GIMP 2.6.

Now that I have adequate computing power, I am re-visiting the larger photos I shot in Botswana this past summer. The sky was processed with Nebulosity 3, and the landscape and sky were combined in GIMP 2.6. The sky is from a stack of 27 exposures that had dark frames subtracted. The moon was in 1st quarter phase and provided a gentle light to the landscape.
