This is a reprocess using PixInsight.

M82 (NGC 3034) with SN 2014J shot from Long Beach, CA on 2014-01-26 around 08 UT. Stack of 11 frames of 185s exposures from 9.25" Edge HD at f/6.3 with LP filter and Atik 314L+ color CCD. Post processing in Nebulosity and PixInsight. Final touches in PS CS 5.1. Very light polluted skies and high humidity.

This Type Ia supernova peaked in brightness during the first week of February 2014, so it was still getting brighter when this image was taken.
