The restaurants at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) are outside of security. So if you're looking for an excuse to take the Canada Line, head over to the airport to grab a bite to eat.

It's blurry because I didn't have a tripod and had to shoot at 1/8.

YVR is a really, really, really nice airport. It makes SeaTac look like an airplane hangar (no pun intended)

Instead of "Exit", the Canadians use "Way Out" to point to the area you use to leave the station. Walking to your left may or may not get you out of the station in this case.

OK so it's not really an armchair, but this is a good way to increase capacity in the artic. Standees actually have something to hold on to.

TransLink (or at least Coast Mountain Bus Company) uses init for their ITS. The next stop sign appears to be the PIDmobil. Procedure:
1. Pull cord activates the same "bell" heard on pretty much every New Flyer.
2. Prior to each stop, a hammer hits an anvil and a computerized female voice announces the stop. Every stop is announced.
3. Regardless of whether or not a stop was requested, when any of the door(s) open the stop requested bell sounds twice in succession.

Interestingly, this is not a staged photo. With a shot of "Main St" you'd think it would be.
