180 klms SE of Adelaide, adjacent to the Coorong waterway, and several kilometres inland from the Salt Creek township. Several years ago a huge portion of this Conservation Park was burnt out as a result of a " Controlled Burn " that got out of control ?
Lots of regeneration now, and in Autumn the colour in the landscape is quite stunning, but still lots of blackened trees everywhere. Flowering Banksias are abundant stretching as far as the eye can see in places. The Park has some interesting wildlife and birds, but it is predominantly over run with aggressive flocks of Red Wattlebirds and New Holland Honeyeaters that drive most others away
