The advertising message printed on the back of this postcard claims "We make the most fantastic deals, with or without a trade-in". Note that the "In Your Merry Oldsmobile" slogan was still in use many years after it was initiated in the early 1900s.

Rocket 88s and 98s were prominently displayed by this Olds dealer in 1958. In the '50s cars looked quite different from year to year as there were major sheet metal changes, if not total redesigns, each year. Thus a 1958 Olds looked quite different from the '57 as well as the yet-to-come all-new '59s.

Hardtops were still extremely popular in 1959 and Oldsmobile sold a lot of them. You could get a Holiday SceniCoupe (2-door) or Holiday SportSedan (4-door) model in any of the three Olds series for '59.

This was Swenson Kaiser-Frazer's second location (see earlier photos near the end of my photostream). The used cars are the greatest attraction for me in this photo, including several convertibles at the front of the lot.
