This photo was probably taken in early 1942. I can see a few 1942 models on the lot, but the showroom is filled with appliances for sale. This was common during World War II as new cars were not produced from early 1942 to mid-1945. They switched from DeSoto to Chrysler in 1957 and remained at this site until 1969. Still in business today as Normandin's Inc. Chrysler-Jeep at a different location, run by, I believe, 4th generation Normandins!

Art Frost is quoted in this 1959 magazine ad: "We've opened a third branch for the growing DeSoto market". This one in Culver City was in addition to his Glendale and LaBrea dealerships in the greater Los Angeles area.
