The Junior was an attempt by Henney to get into a lower-priced, more popular, segment of the professional car market. Henney promoted it also for use as a funeral car, combination car, first call car, or a flower car. It was built on a one-piece Packard Clipper chassis, "NOT a lengthened, spliced-together passenger car chassis". The prototypes were built on a 200 chassis in 1952.

Henney Motor Company of Freeport Illinois was closely associated with Packard for many years. They built many (most?) of the ambulances and funeral cars you've seen on Packard chassis. Unfortunately both Henney and Packard were in their declining years when this ambulance was marketed.

"They look with respect and long remember", said Superior, and you "insure that respect with a brilliantly-styled Superior Side Service Coach". They further proclaimed the "silent flawless magic of the Super-Matic Table, the practical efficiency of the Lev-L-Matic leveler", along with "the dramatic beauty of your Superior Coach".

Stageway Coaches, later known as Armbruster/Stageway, built limousines in both sedan and station wagon form on a number of chassis, including Pontiac, Chrysler and Chevrolet cars and trucks. Many were built expressly for airporter service.
