Can you imagine what the electricity bill was for the short time that this was an exclusive Edsel dealership in 1958?

The Edsel marketing folks apparently figured a tie-in with a Kim Novak movie would help get instant recognition for this brand-new make introduced in 1957 as 1958 models. The Ford-bodied Pacer did not survive into the 1959 Edsel model year, nor did any of the Mercury-bodied models. Kim Novak, fortunately, is still with us.

This1958 Citation 4-door hardtop was prominently displayed by Houston's Gulf Coast Motors. This was one of only 3 body styles available in the top-of-the-line Mercury-bodied Citation series. The others were a 2-door hardtop and a convertible.
