Plymouth's Passenger Coupe Utility, or Ute for short, was available in the Belvedere series (with PowerFlite automatic), the Savoy (with automatic overdrive), or the Cranbrook (with conventional transmission). Power rating for the first two was 117 hp, and the Cranbrook was 114. It may look like a '54 U.S. Plymouth, but this was a '56 model in Australia.

On the reverse side of this advertising postcard Holden referred to this all-new model as "Australia's Own Utility". They further explained that, although it "looks new" and "feels new", everything is "tried and proved!".

This is a non-mailable postcard from Chrysler Australia Limited. Coupe-Utilities are commonly known as utes. This is a Diplomat Custom model. Note that it is essentially a Plymouth with a DeSoto-style grille.

There was a Falcon pickup in the U.S., but the cab didn't look like this one. This one, like most utes, has more style. It probably did influence Ford to put the U.S. Falcon pickup into production, though.

This one has 1956 U.S. styling, but it could be a model year or two later. Typically, Ford styling in Australia was a year or two behind U.S. styling, which could be quite confusing.
