The Custom was "the most conservatively priced" Imperial according to the 1962 Imperial brochure. The standard equipment list was still extensive, however, including TorqueFlite automatic transmission with pushbutton controls, Constant-Control power steering (which some thought was too sensitive), and torsion-bar suspension. It also shared the 413 cu. in., 340 hp V-8 with the pricier models.

LeBaron was the top of the line and was available in only this one model. It differed from the rest of the line in that it had a more formal roof and a smaller rear window, in addition to a more upscale interior.

You can see the unusual "free-standing" dual headlights in this view. They were used from 1961 to 1963. The taillights were also distinctive with their "gunsight" appearance. The Crown series provided Imperial's only convertible model, in addition to two and four-door hardtops.
