Mailed on June 7, 1940 from Los Angeles CA to R. E. Howard, Compton CA. Greer-Robbins was a long-time Hupmobile dealer. This postcard is in somewhat rough shape, but I've never seen another one. If anyone else has seen this card or a similar one I'd like to hear from you.
July 1940
During the second week of July 1940, the last Hupmobile Skylark was built. On November 1, 1940, Hupp Motor Car Co. began reorganization under bankruptcy. Its future endeavors would not include the manufacturing of automobiles. Some of the last Skylarks were delivered to the dealers in 1941 and sold as 1941 models.

There was no 1937 Hupmobile, but Hupp came back with a 1938 model with all-new body styling. It was short-lived, however, and apparently less than 2000 of them were built. The only body style was a four-door sedan, available with either a six or an eight.

The Aero-Dynamic models lasted from 1934 through 1936 with declining sales. Hupp offered no 1937 models. An all-new 1938 Sedan was introduced, but was not popular. The last Hupmobile was the 1940 Skylark, which was virtually identical to the Graham Hollywood.
