Weymann bodies were lightweight custom bodies that consisted of a wood structure covered with leather or synthetic leather "fabric". They were mounted on several classic car chassis, but more on Stutz than any other make.

The low-slung double-drop frame, and the application of hydraulic brakes and "safety" glass led to the designation "Safety Stutz".
