A much-modified version of this car made it into limited production in the late 1940s. The "production" version had a folding metal top. The production figure most-often mentioned is 97 cars. At least one station wagon was built. For more details on the Playboy cars check out the following website:

Only a few Playboy station wagons and convertibles were made in the late '40s in Buffalo NY. A 4 cylinder Continental L-head engine of either 40 or 48 hp (brochures showed both figures) powered these small postwar cars.
