Dhobi Khana, a washing place in Chetpet, Chennai,

A huge place some mass movement of dirty cloths get cleaned everyday, most of the cloths are collected from Hospitals, hotels and lodges and piled up neatly, get cleaned and delivered perfectly. Most of these people are native washing people who lived there for many years & may be this Dhobi Khana was for the service to the Britishers before independence .

But these days increase of machines and technology leads them to job less in many situation. When we are talking to them, they said the water scarcity and recent power cut problem creates a big issues in their timely delivery. Even though they are working in as a family, they wanted their kids to be educative and have dreams on them to be a better life.
