Series of images from the recent visit to some brick factories near Thirumazhisai, Poonamallee, Chennai.

This is mostly a seasonal or climate based business. Once the summer starts we can see these kinds of small / large factories around the area. People who work here mostly hail from Andhrapradesh or the northern part of Tamilnadu. The current Real Estate boom in this part of country, has forced many to sell their agricultural lands, and this has rendered many people jobless.

And thus these people are forced to work in this condition.

This is mostly a family based working condition, so once the agricultural job is done, they migrate to work in the summer.

The bitter part is, some kids are helping their parents in this process, while the parents would rather have their kids educated.

The Pushkar Fair, or Pushkar ka Mela, is the annual five-day camel and livestock fair, held in the town of Pushkar in the state of Rajasthan, India. It is one of the world's largest camel fairs, and apart from buying and selling of livestock it has become an important tourist attraction.
