On the 8/9 April the streets and civic spaces of Cherry Orchard and Ballyfermot will be the stage for a modern, re-imagining of the Passion Story. At least 200 local people and school students will be performing in the two day event and we hope that hundreds more will be part of the audience.

You may have seen the posters up around the area, on lamp posts and in shops. Flyers are be going out to 5000 homes across Dublin 10. Morning Ireland will be doing a report on the event next Friday 7th, the Irish Times will be reporting on it on Saturday 8th so the event is attracting a lot of national media attention.

One of the events happening over the weekend as part of the Passion Project is a World Cafe/Community Forum and we hope that this will also attract some long term attention for the Ballyfermot/Cherry Orchard area.

The Forum is for 100 people, half of whom will be random audience members who have watched the drama unfold over the afternoon and half will be pre-invited guests.

The event is being organised and facilitated by Global Shapers who are affiliated to the World Economic Forum. They are all under thirty and involved in social enterprise projects, lawyers, artists, involved in the media etc.

They are here to hear from the people of Ballyfermot & Cherry Orchard and to see if we can co-operate on some projects for the future

The people invited to the Forum are people active in the community, in the business life of D10 and we also urgently need to hear from young people.

If you are interested in taking part it would be great if you could follow the day's action, at least from the Equine Centre at 3pm, take part in the parade and then the discussion which will run from 5pm to 6.30pm in the Civic Centre,

We need numbers and names in advance so that we can register the audience on the day.

6.45pm Procession from BCFE to The Church of the Assumption
7pm Church of the Assumption – The Messenger goes on trial
