In 2014 I had met Larry Quinn by chance in Our Lady of Good Council church in Drimnagh, I had not seen Larry for 50 years. People will well remember Larry going around collecting the slops for the pigs on his Fathers farm up at the 7th Lock. Larry said to me as we said our good byes that he would drop in to the Ballyfermot Heritage Group sometime. This evening in Ballyfermot Library Larry and his son paid us a visit. We all reminisced our past memories of Larry and how we all helped in collecting the slops on our Roads. In 2003 I wrote a book called Growing up in Ballyer in the 50s 60s and 70s . In that book I wrote about three characters
