Ballyfermot has been celebrating with lots of events through out this year, being 70 years since the new housing estate began 1948 – 2018. Ballyfermot Heritage Group has put together a memory of all these events in the form of a photo album. There are 1,400 photos from all events held this year showing the people celebrating. Some of the profits from the book will go to a charity decided by the Heritage Group, and the remainder will go the Heritage Group for other projects throughout 2019. We would like to Thank Ballyfermot and Inchicore Credit Union, Dublin City Council, and Gerry McCarty and the Ballyfermot Youth Service for all their help and support.
There is a limited amount of these photo albums at a cost of €8 each. They will be on sale at the Christmas Fair on Saturday 1st December which will be in the Civic offices Ballyfermot from 12pm to 5pm, and there will be a launch which includes the switching on of the Christmas Tree in Ballyfermot Library on Monday 3rd December 6pm to 7.45pm all are welcome.
