Congratulations to Daniel McGarry and his family and all the volunteers. Seven years ago the McGarry family lost their Mam to cancer. So on their mothers first anniversary they decided to do a sponsored cycle to Wexford and back to Dublin in memory of their mother. They raised over €10,000 and they presented the money to the Irish Cancer Society. The Irish Cancer came to the family with this concept of the Relay for Life, this has been running for a long time in nineteen different countries. So in 2014 which was the first year started in Ballyfermot. So since the start they have raised just over €116,000. This year they had five man committee plus the volunteers. Congratulations to Daniel and all on such a great achievement.
