Ailish Keane Bailey - Dad joined the Nugget in 1933 , when the war broke out they closed because it wasn't possible to get the supplies for the polish, and dad went into the railway and when Nugget reopened in April 1945 he went back and and applied to live in the cottage 1 Nugget Cottage and was there till his passing. He stayedIn the nugget until his retirement.

three Nugget Cottages were owned and built by the Nugget Shoe Polish co, hence the name. beside the factory
1930 - 31 Nugget United, no doubt named after Nugget's Boot Polish factory just up the canal from Inchicore.
