Ian Morgan. - l have been on/off researching my mam's Ann Morgan family tree for years, who was born an reared on Kylemore Drive in granny Gills nee (Rossiter). We just buried my mam's sister Marie this week. We met with cousins talking about old times and my mams grandfather john Rossiter who was a horse trainer from Redcross. Co Wicklow came up, which is were my sister Beverley lives working with horses. Full circle. he was killed on train after explosion .
My cousin said there was a plaque in memory on the rail Bridge on Le Fanu Road put up recently. I was searching for story all around Wicklow and we just found out the plaque is on Semperit bridge less than 200meters from our home place, which was unveiled. I was shocked, and informed my mum and family. John Rossiter Rest in Peace.
My granny and siblings ended up with nuns Harold's Cross.she met and married Jim Gill and settled Kylemore drive. She never knew her dad was killed 200meters away in lRA ambush on train.
