My late father-in-law was a medical officer during the outbreak of WW II. He was stationed in Abyssinia. This was a picture he took of his attendant, Melles Adghè in 1941. Soon after my father-in-law was captured by the British and spent the next three years in a prison camp in Africa.
The photo below was found here on Flickr by Melles's daughter, who was very happy to have these rare photos of him.
