Odd the pose of her hands, like she's pointing to something.
Photographed by Raffaello Ferretti, Ferrara, Italy. Ferretti was active from about 1855 to1870. He seems to have specialized in photographing actors and opera singers. Some examples can be seen here: badigit.comune.bologna.it/cervi/440.htm

Pages saved from a military calendar. Photographs are pasted onto the pages, so it is more like an album.
In 1916, Italy declared war on Germany. The front in 1916 would have been Gorizia in the region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Fierce battles took place in the hills west of Gorizia between the Italian and Austro-Hungarian Army. The town itself was seriously damaged and most of its inhabitants were evacuated by early 1916. The Italian Army conquered Gorizia during the Sixth Battle of the Isonzo in August 1916, with the front line moving to the eastern outskirts of the town. With the Battle of Caporetto in October and November 1917, when the Central Powers pushed the Italians back to the Piave River, the town came under Austro-Hungarian control again. The borders were not firmly set until 2007 under treaties of the European Union.

Unknown ancestor of the Albani family
Unfortunately, I doubt that I will be able to name him. However, the photographer was well-known during the Italian Risorgimento. He was French but mostly active in Italy. He came to Italy in 1859 and died in Rome in 1914. He also photographed Garibaldi.
His studio was on Via del Mortaro, now Via del Tritone.
The photo is probably from the 1870's or 1880's.
Mounted on cardboard.
