Ticket for Bran Nue Dae. I had a reserved seat a couple of nights before, enjoyed it so much: the venue was perfect as some of Bran Nue Dae is set at Sun Pictures (heritage open air picture theatre). Also the locals present responded to local references and language. I then lined up in the Friday with many others hopeful of getting in. I was fortunate and sat near a local family and enjoyed the musical much more the second time.

There were several major themes in the musical:
A road trip theme from Perth to Lombadina (from not belonging to coming home - physically to Broome and spiritually and emotionally to Lombadina.
A spiritual journey
A return to Indigenous culture
A journey of discovering ones place in life along the way and one's origins as well.
A journey of sexual experience and romance
A journey of experiencing indigenous social and political issues
A journey of musical freedom and celebration.
The movie contains a number of songs from the musical, additional characters and a modified plot.
