While driving along SR-20 in Northern Washington in the North Cascades National Park Complex I stumbled upon some stumps sticking out of Gorge Lake in early morning light. The water was calm and had a beautiful green color. The outcome was one of my favorite shots of my trip so far.

The misty atmosphere in the burned area of the mountains contrasted by the mossy rocks in the foreground caught my eye as we were driving along WA Highway 20 in North Cascades National Park. This national park is overshadowed by other big name parks Like Glacier NP and Olympic NP, but it is worth the effort to get there.
