After visiting the Grand Canyon, Sandra and I decided to stop at the Hoover Dam (which is located near Boulder City) on our trip to Las Vegas. While we were at the dam, we took the tour through the generator room. It is an amazing facility. We were told that all the generators are original and all or still operational. Regular maintenance (lubrication and bearing replacement) have enabled them to run all these years, thus demonstrating the high degree of quality of materials and workmanship we once had in this country! These photos were taken with an Olympus D340R digital camera.
