It's been a long time since I last posted on flickr, but to be honest I haven't been out to very many places due to the pandemic. However, on 29th December 2021, I drove to the nature centre at Spurn Point in East Yorkshire and walked to the end of the spit, where I captured this shot of the heavily weathered groynes

This was one of those rare mornings when a misty sunrise coincided with the weekend! Once I looked out my bedroom window, I didn't need a second invitation and I was soon in my car heading to Trentlock from Beeston. Needless to say, the rising sun burning through the mist provided numerous opportunities for atmospheric photography. This spot is where the footbridge defines the point where the Erewash Canal meets the River Trent

This is a night time view that I took on the North Cornwall coast, looking from Trevelgue Head at Porth towards the distant lights of Newquay. I remember it being very difficult to keep everything still in the strong breeze and I couldn't really see much either.

I have a large back catalogue of images that I should have uploaded to flickr long ago and this image was taken at a similar time and spot to my previous post. This time, however, I had turned my camera to the opposite direction and back towards the Cornish settlement of Whipsiderry, just to the east of Newquay. For this one, I recorded a 30 second exposure at f7.1, with ISO set to 200.

This image is the final part of a 3 image set that I made from Trevelgue Head at Port. This is arguably the strongest of the three, with the distant tail lights of cars making their way up the hill from Watergate Bay. The coastal walks around here are excellent, with plenty of interesting wildlife to be seen and enjoyed.
