I've been shooting around downtown more recently. I haven't shot in and around the city all that often recently, so it feels good to go out and explore.

I'll have to get back to you on the name of this building...for some reason it eludes me at the moment, and Google maps isn't helping me with the building name....

This spring I spent a lot of time in and around the East Bank Esplanade, 10-stopping down by the river. I never achieved quite what I had set out to do (and, honestly, I would have a hard time putting into words what I was really trying to do), but I thought I'd share one of the better photos from my attempts. They've been sitting on my hard drive too long.

I'm sure I'll return to this spot and try to improve upon this photo, but for now it'll work. :)

I'm combing through my already overstuffed "Portland Japanese Garden" folder and trying to get the best stuff out there. I refuse to be the guy still posting fall photos from the Japanese Garden in April.

This is a shot of a lesser-known Japanese Maple at the garden. Some wind kicked up on one day, and I really enjoyed the way the thing moved. Hopefully some of that translated through to the still image.
