Vandaag brak de waterleiding in de dijk, het water spoelde naar beneden vernielde de trap, en uit de kraan kwam géén water meer. Later werden de leidingen doorgespoeld, en de grootste gaten in de dijk gedicht, de trap is nog steeds onbegaanbaar.

This morning the waterworks in the dyke broke, the water flooded all over the road, made big holes in the pavement and ruined the staircase. We had no running water from our taps, but plenty on the street.
Most holes are mended, the works are being flushed, but the stairs are still hard to climb.
