Looking NNW from I-64 near foot of 33rd Street.
K&I (Kentucky and Indiana) Bridge connecting Louisville, Kentucky, and New Albany, Indiana.
This bridge was completed in 1912, replacing an earlier, lighter bridge which was completed in 1886.
It is currently (2016) owned by Norfolk Southern Corp..
The bridge has two sets of railroad tracks, with lanes for vehicular traffic cantilevered out on each side.
Trains still cross the bridge, but the vehicular lanes were closed in 1979.
There is an effort to reopen the bridge to pedestrians and cyclists.
