In 2015 the Heitzman Bakery building became the home of the
Monnik Beer Company.
Right of center are the twin stacks of the
refuse incinerator on Meriwether Ave., which operated from the mid-1950s until some time in the 1990s.
It is now the site of
Louisville Metro's waste reduction center, including electronic waste and tires.
