Twin-screw towboat "Transporter" (doc. # 569721, 90x32, GM 12-567AC diesels, 2400 hp) was built 1975 by Greenville (Mississippi) Shipbuilding Corp..
Originally named "Jay", the boat was renamed "Rose Marie Walden" in 1978 when bought and first put into service by Helena (Arkansas) Marine Service.
In 1983, the boat was renamed "Jo Beth Janoush" after being leased to Janoush Towing, Rosedale, Mississippi.
In 1987, the boat was sold to McBride Towing Co., Harrods Creek, Kentucky, and renamed "Transporter".
Still operating in 2017.

Twin screw towboat "Santa Elena" (USCG doc. # 1075882, length 148 feet, breadth 42 feet, GM 12-645E7 diesels, 4900 hp.).
Built in 1998 by Jeffboat, Jeffersonville, Indiana, and operated at time of photo by American Commercial Barge Line, Jeffersonville.
In 2004, the boat was sold to Destin Marine Service, Harahan, Louisiana, and renamed "Mitch Jones.".
From 2004 to 2015, the boat was operated by Blessey Marine Services, Harahan.
In 2015, it was sold back to ACBL and renamed "Mark Dougherty" after longtime ACBL employee Capt. Mark Dougherty.
Still operating in 2018.

"Santa Elena" was intended to be sent to South America, but stayed in the USA. There is still some bilingual signage in the pilothouse.
A sister boat, "San Ignacio," did go to South America and was later renamed "Cavalier X." That boat has been rebuilt and repowered.

Santa Elena is the Spanish-language name of Saint Helen, who is traditionally credited with finding the relics of the True Cross.
