Sometimes you come across an owl that will let you approach quite close over time.. this was only the second time when I have come across a Snowy Owl that would let me approach within 20 or so feet of his perch.

this guy was doing his best to stay out of the brisk wind yesterday... it was only -27C with the wind chill... here he was nestled down along the side of railway tracks, that at least took a little bit of the wind..

Not looking all that happy... it actually wasn't me, but rather the wind... it was a very windy day, and he was crouching more to stay out of the wind rather than sitting up
