This young coopers hawk was enjoying a warm summer morning, sunning himself on a park bench in the city.

All constructive comments and suggestions are appreciated. TIA.

If you put out seed for birds in your backyard, there’s a chance you’ll also attract the attention of a Cooper’s Hawk. While catching smaller birds is just doing what comes naturally for a Cooper’s Hawk, many of us would prefer not to share the responsibility for the deaths. If a Cooper’s Hawk takes up residence in your yard, you can take your feeders down for a few days and the hawk will move on. (Cornell).

I had thought this to be a juvenile Coopers but have been informed it is actually a immature red-tailed hawk.

Taken in Riding Mountain National Park.

All comments regarding this picture, subject, composition, etc are welcome and appreciated. TIA.

Originally I thought this was an adult Red-tailed Hawk... but upon closer inspection I now believe t his to be an adult dark form Swainson's Hawk... if you know please advise...
He was captured sitting on a telphone post south of Regina Saskatchewan.
Press "L" to see the larger lightbox version for more detail... Thanks.

Another shot from a series that I took with this Red Tailed Hawk that was perched on a tree stump by McMunn Manitoba...
I really liked the background of leaves that provide stark contrast against the white of the hawk...
