While out walking thru the woods in a local park, I was suddenly joined on the trail by this beautiful cat. She followed me along the trail for several hundred yards, and when we came to a bench she joined me on the bench looking for some attention. She was a very well looked after cat - obviously someone's pet (clean, well fed and friendly) that was out for a wander. She stayed with me for about 10 minutes before wandering off into the woods looking for only what a cat knows...

Being an opportunist, means that you take what mother nature gives you when you go looking for wildlife.
On this day, when I was out specifically looking for snowy owls, the only creature I came across was this grey farm cat that was hunting in the dead grass along the side of the road... he was a very distinguished looking fellow, who gave me a quick look before wandering off in search of who knows what...

While out kayaking on the Seine River in Winnipeg I came across this cat that was hunting along the banks of the river, and of course I could not pass up the opportunity to take a few pics.
