We took a trip up to Gloucester on Friday afternoon 16th June 2023, staying overnight so the next morning we could drive up to Copeland Tops State Conservation Area to do the Mountain Maid Gold Mine Tour. Next morning, on the way there, we detoured to this lookout, not far off the road to Barrington Village.
The vantage point here makes it very difficult to get good ground-based shots due unless one is prepared to walk though waist high grass.
It seems little effort is made by council to enable this site to function effectively to its potential as a lookout.
I saw a few good drone images online yesterday taken from here which may better capture this expansive rural scene.
I plan to return though at some stage to try to better capture the mist in the valley. I was an hour or so late getting up there this time.
This is just my second set of 7 images, taken with my new Sony Alpha 7-IV, stitched in Microsoft Image Composite Editor and edited in Luminar Neo.
I purchased the new camera on 22nd May 2023.
Interestingly my first ever posted Sony Alpha 7 IV image, the panorama immediately before this one, appears to have been selected for Explore, which rarely happens for me.
