Nyang West Woolshed, Moulamein, NSW
Antique Ferrier's wool press manufactured by Humble and Son in Geelong, Victoria. These wool presses which were found in woolsheds across Australia and New Zealand were manufactured between the 1860s and 1933 and were very much the gold standard until superseded by the hydraulic wool press.
I am not exactly sure how old this one is nor how long it would have been in operation. The woolshed itself hasn't been in use for some decades now.
The Nyang West woolshed is on a holding now belonging to my brother who lives near Moulamein. He bought it following the subdivision of Nyang West which abutted his farm to the immediate north.
