February is a great month for getting out and about with the camera. Today it was the turn of Argyll and her lochs, hills and mountains to be visited by my lens. What a day, okay it was only 2C but it was beautiful.

Ben Cruachan is an engineering wonder. In the centre of this photograph you will notive the Ben Cruachan Dam, the dam is just the start of it because the mountain itself is known as Scotlands Hollow Mountain. Within its steep rocky slopes and underneath the dam is a hydroelectric power station. The mountain Ben Cruachan itself is one of the finest Munro's in Scotland and the highest point in Argyll.

There is nothing to beat a trip to a fairytale castle on St Valentine's Day, even if you are on your own like I was when I took this one. For some time now, I have been saying to myself that the next time I am in Inverary, I must shoot the castle, so at the weekend I took my chance as I was leaving the town. I pulled into the layby just after the bridge and took my life in my hands as I walked back across it to face oncoming lorries and buses, some drivers don't seem to notice people on foot when there are no footpaths to use. Anyway, this is the shot I managed to capture, it has been given a 3 x 1 crop and a couple of little lens or sensor marks have been removed, other than that, this is how it was straight out of camera, I hope you like it and as always, I welcome your feedback.
