This photograph was shot at Easedale on the Argyllshire west coast of Scotland on its border with the west highlands of Scotland. The view out to sea is of the Isle of Insh.
This is a location which is not too far from the town of Oban and a very nice drive from there to the coast and one that people touring Scotland are not usually aware of and one that I would definitely describe as a hidden gem and it is also a location where I have shot some of my best and most favourite sunsets. I hope you enjoy this photo enough to consider visiting the location which I have geotagged so that you can find it easily. One fantastic thing you will see on your drive to this location is the Bridge Across The Atlantic at Clachan of Seil, you will find pictures of it further down my stream. Please enjoy this photo, your comments and critiques are very welcome.

This pair of Canada Geese were taking The Flight of Icarus and flying into the sun during what was a gorgeous sunset in the last few days. This photo was shot in North Ayrshire on its coast with the Firth of Clyde.

I imagine a couple
Sitting holding hands
Watching the sunset
Filling this land
But what do I see
But an empty bench
No holding hands
Or down on one knee
The colours are vibrant
The bench it awaits
And when the couple come
Will it be too late

When watching the sunset here at Fairlie, in this location you can see the deep water terminal at Hunterston in the background where the cranes are standing awaiting ships bringing in cargo. I noticed how vibrant and colourful the sky was and it got me thinking about how romantic it would be to be sat here watching the sunset with that special someone in your life.

The colours of Scotland, keep you young in your heart, your mind and your soul, we need to do more than open our eyes, we need to see. I hope you enjoy the photograph I made here.

This evening I decided to take a jaunt out to my favourite chippy for that most traditional Scots dinner, a Black Pudding Supper. I will come back to that shortly.

This shot was taken looking to the west coast between the Isle of Arran and the Isle of Great Cumbrae in the Firth of Clyde. I can completely understand why it is that photographers from all over the world come to the west coast of Scotland for our sunset. I am so fortunate that I live here and just need to leave my house and take a drive and in under an hour I can be at this location.

Remember earlier I said I would come back to the Black Pudding supper, well, for those of you who don't know, here in Scotland we don't have what you might call a healthy diet, we have a great pleasure in eating food that is deep fried and a chippy is a fast food restaurant where such delicacies as the black pudding supper can be purchased. A black pudding is dried pigs blood mixed with some oats and secret spices. When purchased in a chippy usually comes served in a crispy batter and believe it or not but it does taste amazing.

Now a country that has sunsets like tonight, is it any wonder we like to be a bit different with our eating habits? Lol :D

I hope you enjoy the picture and thank you for reading this much text. :-)

Watching a gorgeous sunset this young couple appeared and made it into the shot. Can't beat a sunset on the West Coast of Scotland.
