This is the last of the images I took last week. The boardwalk leads into (or out of depending on which direction you're walking) the conservation area. What caught my eye originally was the shadows created by the sun cascading through the wooden slats. I have a previous image of this in B&W from the summer months. The temperature when I took this photo was about -16C so if anyone wonders if Canon's work in the cold, this proves they do!

There is a bench on the path on one of my favorite nature trails that, during the summer at least, I like to sit and just relax with nature. On this day the temperature was -16C with a wind chill so warmer days will have to arrive before I sit again.

This is my first attempt with a graduated ND filter. I was alone in the middle of a bog on a cold winter day, but winter is when the sun sets at a reasonable hour. I hope to keep using the grad ND filter until I can nail down something I really like.
