It was cold and damp this weekend with our first dusting of snow, so I spent a couple of hours wandering around inside the house looking for things I could light up with a flash.

It has snowed almost everyday and the paths are narrow and not well defined in places. A step in the wrong place can result in snow up to your knees and a camera submerged in snow. I am still having some difficulty with the WB setting while using my graduated ND filter, hopefully practice will sort that out.

While driving the back roads of Eastern Ontario I came across this pair of horses foraging for their lunch. It was snowing heavily so they had a ways to go to get to the grass underneath.

I had to use a long lens because they were a fair distance away. I spent about 15 mins trying different angles. They were beautiful animals and I enjoyed the time spent with them.
