To explain the title -the Argus 75 camera I had bought finally arrived today and this is one of my first real TTV (through the viewfinder) shots! I am going to have fun with this I can tell :-) It's got a wonderfully dirty viewfinder but you can't really tell from this shot.

You get this pretty much straight off the camera apart from a slight curves adjustment.

We had a lovely picnic lunch at the beach today (before the rain came). It was a good excuse to give my new TTV camera a workout too :-)

It was cold and wet here today but I dragged my husband out for a quick photography expedition.
The tree is what is known as a Cabbage tree or Cordyline australis and is endemic to New Zealand. They grow up to 15 metres in height and have sword shaped leaves.
