I think of it... when steps are going sad,
adding protection to my family,
loving to be mentioned in the deep part of the heart.
The violent view to be enlightened into peace
and transformation.
I can say that in a moment of the past I loved
the road of chromatics, more and wise
...a way showing the hopes we can achieve
through it,
understand the love,
protection to the soul.
In the mind,
in the heart... ...I prepare the place for
the castle, to see it on my life
...in this bitter world.

Proposals for a subway system in Milan were made as early as 1848, for a horse-drawn tramway. Other projects were drawn up in 1914 and 1925. In 1938 planning actually proceeded for actual construction of a system of 7 lines, but this too halted after the start of World War II. Construction finally began in 1957.
In 1906, an Elevated Light Rail was built for the World's Fair Exhibition. The line linked the two main areas of the Fair between the Piazza d'Armi and the Arena Stadium close to the city centre. The line was dismantled 8 years later. It can be considered as the first Italian electric public transport line totally independent from other railway lines.
The first line (Line M1) of the subway was opened in Milan in 1964 after 7 years of work, from Lotto to Sesto Marelli (21 stations). In 1969 the second line (Line M2) from Caiazzo to Cascina Gobba (7 stations) was opened. In the 1960s and 1970s the network of 2 lines was completed, and both lines have 2 different spurs. Line M1 has a west branch from Pagano Station, and Line M2 has an east branch from Cascina Gobba to Gessate, running far away in the metropolitan area with 10 stations.
In 1990 the third line (Line M3) was opened, with 5 stations. The other 9 stations on Line M3 opened to the southeast in 1991, and northwest to Maciachini Station in 2004.

At 6:14am on 8 August 1989, a black man sits in the carriage of a Stuttgart city train as inspectors pass through and examine passengers’ tickets. Having a pass valid for one zone only a white inspector tells the black man that he must depart at the next stop. The man, confused, explains that his ticket is good for travel, but the inspector insists that he must leave upon arrival at the next stop. As it becomes clear that the black man is not going to leave his seat the inspector grows more aggressive. The two men tussle and the ticket inspector is left with a bloody nose as the black man flees the train.
A little less than three hours later, at 9:08am, two German police officers are stabbed upon a Stuttgart bridge and lay dying alongside three of their injured colleagues. Amongst the blood on Gaisburger Bridge is the perpetrator, a black man, shot dead by the police.
The black man was a Cameroonian immigrant named Frederic Otomo and the two events of that day are real.
What happened in the intervening hours between 6:14am and 9:08am on that August day in 1989 is unknown, and the inspiration for Frieder Schlaich’s film, Otomo. Using the two incontestable facts of that day as bookends, Schlaich seeks to dramatize the hours leading up to that final deadly encounter on Gaisburger Bridge. Otomo is an intense fictional meditation on the issues of intolerance, race, immigration, violence, altruism, and humanity in Western society.

Munich’s transit system is a sprawling network of light rail, subway, tram and bus lines that reach every corner of a city inhabited by 1.3 million people. It’s an amazing system, but it can be overwhelming if you’re a foreigner exploring the Bavarian capital.
Munich is Germany’s third largest city, yet its mass-transit system is small compared to those in London, Moscow and New York. It’s half the size of Berlin’s mass-transit network. Still, it’s among the most efficient in Europe. It includes 245 stops and more than 325 miles of track, and it carries more than 1.6 million passengers a day. It’s clean and so incredibly comprehensive that it’s said no household in Munich is more than 1,300 feet from a transit stop of some kind.
