Crossing the New River on U.S. 221 between Independence and Galax, Va. 2013.03.20 Roll in a Day / A Day in a Roll These shots were March 2013’s assignment for the Roll in a Day / Day in a Roll group I’ve been shooting film with for the past year. This month’s assignment was open, so I decided to continue relearning to shoot B&W film, and, with a few photos, play with night photos (bad results) and light and shadow (a little better). Could not get iPhoto to upload photos chronologically. Drug-store processing was horrible, but sometimes to interesting effect. All of the photos were taken in a 24-hour period from Tuesday night, March 19, through Wednesday afternoon, March 20, the first day of spring, in Bristol, Va., for the night shots, at my home for the bathroom shots, and on a day trip in Southwest Va. for the remainder. The film was Ilford XP-2 exposed at 400 ISO. The camera was a Nikon N8008 with 24-50mm and 70-210mm AFNikkor lenses. The photos a little manipulation in Windows Picture Manager.
