The Milky shines over the tiny town of Stark, New Hampshire, population 478 as of the last census. Shown in the photo is the Stark Union Church and the Stark Covered Bridge, with the Stark Town Office in between. The photo was taken from the property of the Stark Village Inn, which I believe is the only public business in the town. The town's total area is just under 60 square miles, much of which is within the White Mountain National Forest of New Hampshire.

The milky way shines over this little red schoolhouse in the small rural town of Cabot, Vermont, population 1477 as of the last census. Cabot School, which serves Pre-K through 12th grade, is one of the few remaining Pre-K-12 community schools in Vermont and is known for its innovative and personalized approach to learning.
