It could be said one of the best AC electric loco designs of the 1960's. E3137 is restored to as delivered 1966 condition as much as possible given modern operating requirements. This loco is still used for special charter work. Sister locos of current 86/5 and 86/6 still operate for Freightliner, and some examples are now employed in Hungary by Floyd.

English Electric basic shunting loco, a design and technical spec, that dates from the 1930's. Most of the class of over 1000 engines were delivered between 1952 and 1962. This is a later example, again restored to as delivered condition, except for the high level air pipes, which were added by the Southern Region in the late 1960's
