I am trying to make my photography look more like painting lately.

My friends came out to Venice beach to drown themselves with me. What good people :)

BIG UPDATE...I have a bug on the inside of my camera. I'm pretty sure this means certain camera death by scratches :( Any suggestions on how to get the bug out would be wonderful, though I'm pretty sure my options are limited.

[cp]photography...indeed there was. Though this time it was a girl. She was watching me from her window, and every time I would look up at her she looked away real fast. Who can blame her? I'd be looking too. This is my beautiful concrete playground [aka, where I take the trash out].

I actually went out there today with the intention of doing a shoot in a grocery cart that I found out there. But, upon looking in the daylight, it was plastic and bright purple....nixed. I'll have to find a better shopping cart to fulfill my shopping cart fantasies.

Kenneth Jansson - Damien Rice is one of my favorite artists :) I just saw the 9 Crimes video for the first time and its incredible!

This is it for the beach pics, at least for a while...promise!

I was too nervous to do this one alone yesterday cause I was afraid someone would grab my camera (my camera was up on a bridge). The remote setting kept going off by the time I buried myself, so my friend reset it for me when I needed her to. This picture ended up looking kind of ridiculous because the sand was so dug up around me by the time I finished covering myself but there was nothing I could do about that. So I had to give it a little extra tlc in the shop. I went with my friend Spencer, a photographer out here in L.A. Fun day :)

My husband didn't like this one, either :/ Now I am on a mission to take a picture that he likes...And mark my words, it'll happen one of these days... :)
