A throwback to the start of the Summer holidays, when I visited Southampton for what turned out to be my final ever rides on Brijan Tours' buses. A trip to Hedge End Superstores from Eastleigh on 111 N5BJT was had, before jumping off and waiting for 112 PUI8112 on a thrice weekly route to Hamble. The pair of ex-Stagecoach South Alexander Dash bodied Deninis Darts are seen here at Hedge End. 29th July 2015.

In recent times, Newport Bus have acquired some significantly newer vehicles to replace aged Scania Wrights and older mini-ALX200 Darts. Among these is this very smart Transbus Pointer Dart SLF, 334 KU52YKK which was new to Thorpes of Wembley in 2002 as DLF102, before passing to Metroline.

It now serves Newport on the local routes. It's seen at the bus station on 31st July 2015.

The first real adventure of the Summer (if you can call it that!) was a weekend away, starting with London on the Friday and Leicester on the Saturday. As you see, I couldn't possibly have picked a better day to be running around the capital...and in desperation of getting some shelter, we decided to dart (pardon the pun) onto this Go-Ahead London Transbus Pointer Dart DP198 EU53PYF on route 170 from Victoria to Roehampton, which is certaibly something different. It quickly heads out of central London into some lovely looking areas, almost giving the feel of being out in the country and finally ends up in Roehampton which is where the bus is pictured.

Sadly, Saturday was lacking Volvo B6 action after 620 S620VOA, the last of the type in service, had snapped it's fan belts and died on it's first trip out. I did manage a photo of it at Walsall depot, however it was fairly poor so I lucky have this photo of it in happier times in August.

Just before the end, the Volvo B6LEs, B10Ls and Optare Spectras had seen use in Wolverhampton on the local routes. 620 is seen resting in Underhill having worked an 11 from Wolverhampton Bus Station on 8th August 2015.
