Explore: Aug 3, 2008 #465. Peterhouse College Chapel, University of Cambridge. And now for a bit of colour:-) Peterhouse has among the most colourful stained glass anywhere! These ones date from 1855 and are by Maximilian Ainmüller of Munich (they replaced the originals which were destroyed by Parliamentarians in 1643). Founded in 1284, Peterhouse is the oldest Cambridge college.
What a pleasure it is to be in Cambridge:-) I spent the morning today just enjoying the stained glass of Peterhouse. Gorgeous!
